Writing at the Museum Contest


The Plumes d’ici et d’ailleurs writing workshop
invites you to


Choose a painting, photograph, sculpture, or engraving. Let yourself be carried away by the energy of this piece of art, which will be the central theme of the new short story that you will write.

Your text, which may be in French or in English, must not exceed 9000 characters, counting spaces and characters. All entries will be treated as anonymous submissions for evaluation purposes.

Participation in this contest is free and open to everyone. This contest is made possible with the support of Alliance Française locations throughout Canada and the National Gallery of Canada. Sign up before December 31st, 2014. The deadline for submission of texts to plumesdicietdailleurs@gmail.com is January 31st, 2015.

Texts selected by the reading committee will be published. Participating authors will receive a short text detailing the jury’s evaluation of their respective submissions. Only one text will be accepted from each author. These texts will be accompanied by a registration form, which you will find attached to the participation regulations.
